OVERVIEW
Damcon was proudly awarded the contract for the construction of the High Street bridge widening, the High Street bridge on ramp, the pier strengthening of the existing High Street bridge, adjacent retaining walls, adjacent road
furniture, the design and installation of temporary works to facilitate these works, and the supply of materials. The widened bridge would consist of
girders and a deck superstructure on piers, with footings matching existing locations. Damcon will construct a new on-ramp from the interchange
to the Warringah Freeway northbound to ease traffic congestion. The scope will also include demolition works on existing abutments, bridges and road barriers, footpaths, and existing retaining walls
The Cut & Cover scope consists of FRP package and construction of new capping beams (sill and cantilever), mined tunnel portal beam, and daylight portal beam. The scope also consists of Installation of planks, constructing roof deck (southbound and northbound span), installation of precast flood walls, and in-situ barriers.
All concrete quality as per RMS QA specification B80.
